Today I thought I would share with you a birthday card that I made for my hubby's birthday, just over a week ago.
He enjoys golfing and he and my son go for a game whenever they can, which is not as often as they would like.
I decided to make a trophy pop up card for a change. I used an A4 piece of card and printed a backing paper from the Ooh La La CD Rom - Boys to Men.
In Craft Artist, I made two mats using one of the 'greens' from the topper, on one I printed 'Happy Birthday' and on the other I printed'To My Wonderful Husband'.
I have had the golf club embellishment in my stash for a while. I didn't have a ball, so used a faceted white bead - it was near to a ball as I could get!!
On the back, I put the verse.
I had loads of ideas such as making a score card to go with the card for when he goes for a game, but with travelling a fair bit to visit my uncle who is still very poorly, I just ran out of time. To make up for it, I made a voucher entitling him to go for a game of golf whenever he wants and to have lunch there as well and put it in a gift bag with some chocolate goodies for him for Valentines Day. I made one for my son as well, so they can both go together.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-
