Anything goes when you're young at heart!

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. I've been decorating the house and then hurt my back, so everything is taking longer than normal.

I wanted to enter this card though for a couple of challenges.

The card was made from a piece of A4 navy blue card and made into a stepper card using my Hougie Board. The topper and backing paper, Jump and Jive is from the Decoupage Plus section of the La Pashe 'The best of 2012' cd rom. I decoupaged the topper and made a hole near the old man's mouth so that I could insert the stem rose so that it looked like he was holding it in his teeth. I matted and layered the topper onto some black card. The blue gingham backing paper was also matted and layered onto black card. In between the two, I sandwiched an old cd and attached the topper at a jaunty angle. I made the stepper card from card I had in my stash and added card candy to the four corners. The sentiment was matted onto black card and attached to the middle at the bottom of the card. I did originally attach some musical notes to the card, but I wasn't sure about this, so took them off.

The challenges I would like to enter this card for are:-
Allsorts Challenge - Young at Heart http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/week-180-young-at-heart.html
Make it Monday - Anything Goes http://ppp-makeitmonday.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/mim115-with-bugaboo-stamps.html
Lady Annes Challenge - Anything Goes http://ladyanneschallenges.weebly.com/anything-goes.html

All that is left to say is - I hope I am as agile as this when I'm their age!! Lol

Thank you for calling.

Wendy

WOW what a fantastic card! Love the card shape and the extended panel in the middle with the offset topper makes it look very intricate. It's wonderful and something that anyone would love to receive!
