Today I have been making DT cards but unfortunately I can't show them yet, but all will be revealed soon.
Instead, I thought I would share with you a card I made using the Vintage toppers from Kraftyhands. It's in my favourite colour - blue or I guess 'turquoise' as it says on the topper!
I matted the topper onto silver mirri and cut the corners on the mirri to match the ones on the topper. I chose a backing paper from the Kraftyhands Vintage Treasure CD Rom - I love this backing paper. There's 10 different colours of this particular design and I think they are all beautiful. I matted this onto a 6x6 scalloped card blank.
Before I placed the topper on the backing paper, I placed a doily under it but placed it to the top right hand corner. To the bottom left hand corner, I placed two sets of three turquoise gems to add a bit of sparkle.
Inside of the card, I put an insert. There are inserts on the Vintage Treasure Cd but obviously didn't match the topper as it is from a different set. I took one of the inserts from the Cd, took it into Paint and removed the image that was printed on the insert. Then in Craft Artist, I put a copy of the image on the insert so that it all coordinated.
The toppers and the Vintage Treasure Cd will be on Create and Craft on Tuesday February 19th at 1pm and 6pm. Tune in to see Mike and Ian and the samples as made by the Kraftyhands design team.
Hope you can make it.
