Here is my first ever blog. It seems that to be on some design teams or to enter challenges you have to have your own blog. I must say, I am a better card maker (even though I say it myself) than a blog maker, so here goes.
My first card that I post has to be the one that I made for my son for his 20th birthday. I used the Seraphina and Friends CD Rom by Doolicraft. I've had the CD for a while but haven't used it although I had looked at the images. If I remember correctly, Hayley West demonstrated it on Create and Craft a couple of years ago.
Thomas likes to go fishing and used to go with my Dad until he passed away in April 2010. After a while of not going, he now occasionally goes with his Uncle Brian, who unfortunately doesn't live near enough for them to go more regularly.
To make the card, I also used an 8x8 white card blank, some mirri card and used my hot foil machine to do the sentiment. I was pretty pleased with the result and Thomas liked it too, so that was the main thing.
Thank you for dropping by.
Happy crafting!

Hi Wendy
I thought I would write as I know how hard you have worked to get this blog up and running. It and your cards (which I get the chance to see close up) are very good, or as Lynda described them stunning.
Staff at work find your cards are really well designed and comment how beautiful they are, so you should be proud of how well you are making them.
Thomas (your Son) also says how good they are (particularly given the time scale he sets you to produce the card to give to his friend, which is minutes and if you are lucky hours, but rarely days), but that might be that he is after getting it for free. He does think they are very good though, although he has told me not to let on, or you might start charging him for them.
Do keep making them as I know how much you enjoy doing them and I also know how beautiful people think they are.
Steve
Thank you Steve. That means a lot to me to know that you, Thomas and others like my cards and thank you for taking them to work to show your colleagues.
